Ingredients

  1. herring fillets
  2. flour, salt, frying oil
  3. half a glass of soy sauce
  4. half a glass of water
  5. a 1 cm piece of ginger
  6. 2 cloves of garlic
  7. lime juice
  8. sesame oil
  9. cane sugar
  10. a red onion half
  11. chives

Christmas herring in Asian sauce

Preparation

Salt the herring, cover with flour and fry in a pan in oil.

In a saucepan, bring to boil: soy sauce, water, a tablespoon of cane sugar, grated ginger and garlic, lime juice. Pour the sauce onto a rimmed plate, place the herring on it, sprinkle with red onion and chives, drizzle with sesame oil.

Eat warm or cold with bread.
