Ingredients

  1. fresh Baltic herring fillets – about 250 g of meat
  2. spicy Hungarian paprika paste – to one's taste
  3. 250 g of quark
  4. about 4 – 5 of gherkins
  5. 1 medium-sized shallot
  6. a bunch of dill
  7. salt, pepper

Preparation

Remove the skin from the herring flaps and fry the fish flesh in hot clarified butter. Cool down and grind together with cottage cheese in a meat grinder. In a bowl, mix the cheese with fish, chopped pickled cucumbers and chopped onion, Hungarian paste and dill.

Add salt and pepper. Eat the paste on delicious bread.
