The MSC certificate and the Polish Naturalnie Bałtyckie label guarantee that the wild fish has been caught and processed according to the highest quality standards and in the most environmentally friendly way.
This blue and white logo is used for products certified by the MSC (Marine Stewardship Council). This stamp guarantees that the fish comes from sustainable fisheries that meet the strict environmental standards set by the MSC.
The MSC certificate is valid for 5 years and is audited annually. Fishermen must continuously improve their operations as a condition of certification. This is to ensure that fishing is carried out responsibly and to encourage fishermen to use newer and better ways of preserving the marine environment.

The MSC certificate guarantees that fish and seafood from a given fishery can be enjoyed by us and future generations. This is because fisheries are managed in a way that maintains the structure, productivity, function and diversity of the marine ecosystem.
Adherence to the MSC standards is ensured by independent experts who regularly check whether a fishery meets the certification criteria. The same rules also apply to producers. The blue MSC certificate can only be awarded to products made from fish that originate from certified fisheries that are stable and well managed.
There are more than 30,000 sustainably caught fish and seafood products available worldwide.
When shopping, choose fish and seafood with a blue logo.
There are ongoing efforts to obtain a certificate for the Polish sprat and herring fisheries (e.g. by Kołobrzeg
