  3. 60 ml of oil
  4. black-pepper

Herring with caramelised onions

Cut the onion into slices, caramelise intensely until brown and leave in the oil to cool. Only then drain them but keep the oil.


Dice the soaked herrings into pieces, put them in layers in the jar, sprinkle with pepper and put the onion on top.

Pour the water over the herring.

Finally pour with onion oil and refrigerate for 12 hours.
